Mind and Body Kinetics Relational Dog Training Guide
What this model shows is that training is really an intervention at the relational level regardless of the
ideology or methodology involved. Unwanted behavior issues are a direct result of a misalignment of
the relational roles. The primary influencing agent of a dog decision making process comes from what
is established relationally through this connection. Those who need help overcoming behavior issues
become easy targets by those who promote ideologies which align with the type of thinking and
connection which got them into the mess to begin with. The idea that a dog can learn how to be well
behaved is full of relational half truth and deception. Even when a model incorporates corrective
influence into its methodology it may not be enough to create relational change at the level needed.
The ideological and interactive dance of various influences and motivators at the relational and
motivational level often offer little beyond appearances and false hope to the dog owner. The specific
approach and methodology this model uses is designed to punch through the relational wall. Anything
which has the potential to interfere with creating relational change is pushed out of the way.
